[Jam Prototype] Combatman

For our take on the Boss Rush Jam 2025 theme "Spin": we wanted to put a spin on the traditional boss rush format. So instead of having the player rush the boss, we wanted the boss to rush the player! Enter the "boss wave" -  a super ruthless wave of enemies and kaijin that will rush you without mercy. Together with your trusty metal staff (Spinning Cane) and power dynamo belt (Prana Spinner), will you be able to take out the fiends before they end you?

Features:

- Boss rush with a spin. Focus, observation, quick-wits, and adaptability: all staples of a boss rush, reduced into a game with only 'attack' & 'special' buttons!

- Feel the rush. Feel what bosses feel when you rush them: anxiousness, uncertainty, fear - yet also the thrill of getting lost in battle madness!

- Intense flow state battles. Difficulty options accommodating different players, yet maintaining the core concept: hyper focus & split-second decision making!

- Epic battle (or last stand..). The beautifully composed BGM by Fesliyan Studios, along with fully animated FX and lighting will enliven your moment of glory!

Developer's Recommendation:

- Controller highly recommended (but menus will still require a mouse to navigate).

- Hard difficulty softly recommended (but the important thing is to have fun =)).

Beware the known bugs:
1. Under certain conditions, kaijin can unintentionally speed up and kill player after taking a hit;
2. Performing poorly can cause enemies to clump up. While an intended feature in most situations, occasionally enemies can overlap causing much danger;
3. Completion (gameover) screen can sometimes shoot just before the last enemy/group of enemies are slain;
4. The reset best combo button will cause the best combo counter to break, until the game is reset via the menu or hard restarted. Fixed
